The Rénoclimat program promotes energy efficient renovations meaning work that is carry out for the purpose of reducing a home’s energy consumption while improving its level of comfort.
Please note that to receive financial assistance under the Rénoclimat program, all the required conditions must be respected for every type of work. Take the time to read more about these conditions in the Applicant's Guide (in French only) and if necessary, ask your Rénoclimat advisor any questions you may have regarding this subject.
To get an overview of eligible work and of the amount of financial assistance associated with each type of work, consult the following pages.
In Québec, registering for the Rénoclimat program is the only way to access the Canada Greener Homes Grant.
Financial assistance from the federal program can be up to $5,000 for eligible projects, but is not added automatically to the assistance provided by Rénoclimat. For each participant, the financial assistance provided by the Rénoclimat program will be adjusted based on the work done and the amounts provided for under the federal program. This way, once both assistances are applied, you will get an amount equal to or greater than what was originally set out in Rénoclimat.
Do you own a duplex, triplex or multiple-unit residential building? Financial assistance granted under the Rénoclimat program will be higher than for single-family homes.
Some renovations do not significantly improve the energy performance of a home and are not eligible for financial assistance under the Rénoclimat program.
