How to schedule an appointment
You must obtain or have already obtained an energy evaluation of your home before starting your retrofits in order to qualify for a Rénoclimat grant.
Appointment scheduling for energy evaluations
For energy evaluation requests, we currently offer:
- Post-retrofit energy evaluations for participants eligible for the Canada Greener Homes Grant;
- Post-retrofit energy evaluations for Canada Greener Homes Loan recipients whose loan completion deadline expires before April 1, 2025.
For other services, an energy evaluation can be scheduled at a convenient date after April 1, 2025.
Some types of energy evaluations must be postponed in order to stay within the budget allocated by the Gouvernement du Québec to the Rénoclimat program.
If you choose to obtain an energy evaluation outside the Rénoclimat program, the Ministère will be unable to provide you with financial assistance for your renovations. You will also be responsible for covering the full cost of the energy evaluation services.

If this is your first time participating in the Rénoclimat program for your home, a Rénoclimat pre-retrofit evaluation will be available after April 1, 2025.

Canada Greener Homes Grant participants
- First time participating in the Canada Greener Homes Grant
If you only had one energy evaluation between April 1, 2020, and February 19, 2024, a post-retrofit evaluation is available now.

If you had more than one energy evaluation between April 1, 2020, and February 19, 2024, a new post-retrofit evaluation will be available at a convenient date after April 1, 2025.

A post-retrofit energy evaluation allowing your loan to be disbursed is available now.

If you would like to obtain a post-retrofit energy evaluation to enable the disbursement of your loan, fill out the online form or contact our Customer Service Department for an appointment.
A post-retrofit energy evaluation can be scheduled at a convenient date after April 1, 2025.
To schedule an appointment for the energy evaluation of your home, please call our Customer Service Department at 1-866-266-0008.

- 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m from Monday to Friday
You can also register by filling out the web application form. Please note that the form is only available in French.
- The service organization in charge of your area will contact you as soon as possible to schedule an appointment for the energy evaluation of your home.
- You should get an appointment within three weeks following the call if your request concerns the services currently offered.
- If the service organization tries to reach you by phone unsuccessfully twice and there is no follow-up on your part, your appointment request will be canceled.
- Appointment slots for energy assessment services are available from Monday to Saturday, inclusively, from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding holidays.
- You will need to provide proof of ownership (copy of your tax bill or transfer tax) for your residence when the Rénoclimat advisor visits you for the first time.
Only a Rénoclimat energy advisor who has been duly mandated by the Ministère can conduct an energy evaluation of your home.
