You are responsible for making sure that your home and the work concerned meet the program’s conditions and requirements.
You have a maximum of 6 months from the start date of the work to submit an application for financial assistance.
You acknowledge and assume the risks or disadvantages that may result from the rejection of your application for financial assistance from this program.

Before beginning the work, you will need to choose the equipment, materials and a contractor; read our useful tips on this topic if necessary.
Once the work is finished, gather all the required supporting documents.
Fill out your application for financial assistance on line (in French only) and make sure that you attach the required supporting documents.
Notice - Make sure that you have all the information you need on hand before starting to fill out the form.
Chauffez vert program managers will review the documents that have been received to determine if you are eligible for financial assistance. Additional information or documents may be requested from you during their review.
If your application is complete, you will be notified by e-mail that you are either eligible or ineligible for financial assistance within 8 to 12 weeks. It may take longer if information or supporting documents are missing.
If you are eligible for financial assistance, you will also receive instructions by e-mail on how to safely provide your social insurance number (SIN) to the program's managers. The SIN is required to pay the financial assistance.
Never e-mail your SIN.
